A Message from Matt

Life is difficult.  We are presented with a variety of challenges throughout our lifespan.  It is a sign of wisdom, strength, and courage to seek counsel.  It is also an act of self-care, which will ultimately not only help you but will positively impact those you interact with and care about.  I am driven by a genuine curiosity about life, relationships, meaning, healing, and growth.  My aim is to walk alongside you as a fellow traveler on this human journey.  Utilizing proven, evidence-based approaches along with authenticity, honesty, compassion and practicality I will work with you to identify what is most important to you, what areas of your life would you like to explore, and how we can implement strategies to improve your current level of functioning.  I begin right where you are, without judgment.  It is important to me to create a safe and secure environment where you feel free to be vulnerable, to look at your life honestly, and to evaluate how you want things to look moving forward.  If you are interested in growing as a human being, healing, knowing yourself better, and developing healthier strategies to engage in life then I am likely a good fit for you.  After working in Hospice care for over 20 years I have a unique perspective on how people view life, what has mattered, the impact of choices made, and the shared wisdom from life’s experiences.  You can expect from me authenticity, kindness, and professionalism.  My hope is that you will genuinely feel cared about, listened to, and understood.  Starting counseling can be scary. It can also be an exciting time as it can be a birthplace for hope. For new ways of seeing and being.  I would be honored to be part of your healing and to witness your journey of growth.
