Andrea earned a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Chemical Dependency from Eastern Washington University. She is a licensed in the State of Washington as a Mental Health counselor and a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
Andrea uses a Psychodynamic Attachment-Based approach with elements of Internal Family System (IFS), and Positive Psychology. She believes how we learn and experience attachments to beginning in early childhood throughout our adulthood shape our way of being. Generally, we don't recognize how these attachments have impacted our ability to get our needs met. Understanding these patterns and working to change our way of getting our needs met is an important part in helping a person find their successful path. Andrea helps by listening to her client's story, providing psychoeducation, and teaching coping skills to reduce the overall problem. Andrea may also provide EMDR for a variety of symptoms.
