A Message from Shelly
I understand how intimidating it can be to find the right counselor that you feel comfortable opening up. If you're here, it's likely because you're seeking support and guidance through a challenging time in your life. I want you to know that you're not alone in this journey. I acknowledge the courage it takes to seek help and the struggles you might be facing. It's okay to feel lost or overwhelmed; I'm here to provide a safe space where you can explore those emotions without judgment.
My approach to therapy is rooted in building a trusting and compassionate relationship with my clients. I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported. In simple terms, I believe in working collaboratively with you to navigate through life's challenges.
During our sessions, you can expect a tailored approach that fits your needs. We'll explore your concerns and work together to develop strategies and insights that can help you cope and thrive. Change might not happen overnight, but you'll notice gradual shifts in your perspective, behavior, and overall well-being.
For me, the essence of counseling lies in creating a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and grow. The most crucial aspect is our relationship—a trusting bond built on respect and empathy.
You'll know if I'm the right fit for you if you feel a sense of comfort and connection during our conversations. My favorite type of client is someone who is willing to engage openly and honestly in the therapeutic process, eager to explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
Finding the right therapist is a personal journey and I want you to find someone that you feel comfortable with and understood. If you resonate with my approach and believe we could work well together, I'm here to support you on your path to healing.
