A Message from Laura

Hello, my name is Laura Alvarez. I have been a mental health therapist for over 12 years. It was a childhood dream of mine to follow in the footsteps of renowned psychotherapists, as many peers and relatives trusted me with their personal vulnerabilities, this was was only reinforced throughout my life

Throughout my professional and educational experiences, I realized that many of us can get stuck in old patterns and as a result, we consciously or unconsciously create limitations for ourselves. I want to help individuals obtain awareness of these behaviors that are no longer serving them and I want to assist them to acknowledge their inherent wholeness.

I enjoy teaching clients skills that will help them on their journey to well-being. I believe that one can have a meaningful life when their choices are guided by them. I see my roles more as an assistant by creating an authentic space where someone can begin to learn to trust themselves and by holding a safe place where someone can feel comfortable to explore who they are and what they want. I tis my hope that anyone who comes to see me for therapy feels seen, heard and empowered.
